Discover the Flavors of Indonesia: Coffee Tasting with David Black

Can you imagine living and tasting all of Indonesia's coffee beans from Aceh Gayo to Flores Bajawa? Indonesia is a wonderful place that offers great opportunities to live and work remotely while enjoying the scenery and activities it has to offer. This country also has the best coffee beans that have gone international and are loved by people all around the world. Their coffee is uniquely special, with its distinct acidity and characteristics reflecting the terroir where it's grown. This unique flavor profile is a testament to the local community's efforts to support their coffee industry, creating a product that captures the authentic taste of a coffee shop, ready for distribution.

What can you do to discover the flavors of Indonesian coffee? Understand how the coffee can give a different taste as the city of coffee grows and develops. With Alzeto Coliving, we’ve finished coffee tasting of many Indonesian coffees with our guests. The event gives an incredible moment with the new insight they get from these activities. In addition to the coffee tasting, we're building a new community here for people who share the same passion for discovering and enjoying unique coffee flavors.

Coffee tasting is a sensory experience that allows you to fully enjoy the flavors and aromas of each cup of coffee. The coffee tasting, or cupping, is also known as a formal or informal process to evaluate the sensory characteristics of coffee, such as its aroma, acidity, flavor, body, and aftertaste. Usually, the practice is used by professionals for quality control, but you can also get this experience as a coffee enthusiast to explore the diversity of coffee and develop your palate.

With David Black and Coffee in Sunset Road and connected with Alzeto Coliving. Their coffee taste includes enjoying the diversity of Indonesian coffee like Aceh Gayo, Flores Bajawa, Bali Kintamani, Mandailing, Toraja Kalosi, Ijen Raung, Papua Wamena, Sidikalang, and Bengkulu. The coffee tasting activity introduced attendees to the art of cupping, from a sensory evaluation method traditionally used by coffee professionals to assess aroma, acidity, flavor, and aftertaste. Each tasting is guided by our skilled baristas, who share insights into the origins, roasting profiles, and brewing techniques that make every cup distinct.

What makes this event feel special is the environment and community you find here. As a coffee shop, built and connected with coliving, David Black and Coffee offers a place you’d enjoy to meet new friends and business partners. From digital nomads and remote workers to couples travelers, the gatherings are not only to savor the coffee but also to share their own stories, network, and create meaningful relationships. Many participants expressed that this gathering felt less like an event, more like a community coming together over a shared passion.

For Alzeto Coliving, this event reflects its mission by providing not just a place to stay, but a lifestyle and a community hub for those living or working in Bali. Alongside its modern rooms, coworking spaces, pool, gym, and shared kitchen, Alzeto regularly organizes events like this to help residents feel at home while embracing the island’s culture. In conclusion, guests left not only with a heightened appreciation for Indonesian coffee but also with new friends and connections that will last beyond their stay. It’s a gateway for attendees to explore the cultural immersion, meaningful experiences, and community living in the heart of Kuta, Bali.
