Completing another memorable event at Alzeto Coliving was truly meaningful. August is a special month for Indonesia because we celebrate Independence Day on 17th August to recognize the efforts of Independence Day for the Indonesian people. The event featured classic Indonesian Independence Day games, including :
- Relay Straw Game is a test of patience and precision where participants use only a straw to pick up rubber bands. The games gave all the participants laughter out loud and friendly competition.
- Balloon Dance, not a professional dance you had imagined, but it's just a dance for two people while balancing a balloon between them without using their hands. It's such a playful game and the best time to have fun with a new person to be your partners and make friends.
- Relay Water Game is like a Relay Straw Game, but you have to bring water into your spoon. You should balance the walking to get to your partner on the finish line. The game is reminding everyone to give a playful spirit while concentrating on filling the bottle with water.
All of the games really give not just entertainment, but also create a vibrant atmosphere of cultural exchange, allowing people of all ages to play and have fun in the same games. It also gives international guests to experience how Indonesians celebrate their Independence Day with joy and camaraderie. Everyone, the staff and guests had the chance to laugh, compete, and connect while celebrating a day that is deeply meaningful to Indonesia.
The event ended with light refreshments, group photos, and heartfelt conversations among guests who came from various corners of the world but shared the same roof at Alzeto Coliving. Many participants also had fun and expressed how this celebration made them feel part of something bigger, like they were part of history.
